Five steps. No mystery.

Nothing here is proprietary and none of it is a methodology with a trademark. It is the sequence that stops a firm buying software before it knows what it is buying it for.

    Five steps. No mystery.

    1. 01

      Discover

Understand how the business works. Not how the org chart says it works — how it actually works.

    2. 02

      Diagnose

Identify friction. Find where hours, money, and attention leak out of the operation.

    3. 03

      Design

Redesign workflows. Decide what to automate, what to rebuild, and what to eliminate.

    4. 04

      Build

Develop the systems. Software, automation, and AI — built for your operation.

    5. 05

      Refine

Measure. Improve. Continue. Operations are never finished; neither are we.

    Every business is a machine.

Most are assembled over years. New software gets bolted onto old software. Processes accumulate. Exceptions multiply. Employees compensate. Eventually nobody understands the entire system.

    Counsel Code rebuilds the machine.

How most firms respond to complexity

    • More people
    • More software
    • More meetings
    • More process

    How we respond

    • We simplify
    • We remove unnecessary work
    • We automate what should be automated
    • We redesign what should be redesigned

    The output is not software.
The output is a dramatically better business.

Four things we hold to on every engagement.

    1. 01

The first useful thing ships in weeks

Not at the end. A programme that delivers nothing for six months and then asks for trust has not earned any.

    2. 02

New systems run alongside the old ones

Until the numbers agree. Nothing is cut over on a promise, and anything switched off can be switched back on.

    3. 03

You own the code and the infrastructure

Repository, hosting, database and credentials, in your name, from the first day. There is no lock-in because there is nothing to be locked into.

    4. 04

We tell you what not to build

A recommendation that never says no is a sales document. Some of what an assessment finds is that a system should simply be switched off.

What happens to what you show us.

An assessment means looking at case files, client records, billing and correspondence. Firms are right to be careful about that, so here is the posture, stated plainly.

We work inside your systems under accounts you create and can revoke. We do not take copies of client data onto our own infrastructure, and we do not move it to a third party for analysis. Where a system we build needs to hold client records, it holds them in a database in your name, on your hosting account, with access enforced at the database rather than only in the application.

When an engagement ends, the credentials are yours to rotate and the access is yours to remove. We will send you the list of what to revoke rather than waiting to be asked.

    Start with the assessment.

Before anything gets built. Thirty minutes to work out whether there is enough friction in your firm to be worth the exercise.
